Twenty two years ago I meet a Spiritual teacher by the name of  Sweet Medicine, Her path to that point had included being a Pentecostal preacher, Kriya yoga, and ended with her becoming a teacher in the Native American tradition.  I studied with her in the physical for thirteen years and after 10 years I was “made” a “teacher”. I avoided the title until the day my teacher died and on that day I took my first student. I know that at the time it was a decision to stay and maintain my Spiritual path and not run into the white bread mainstream.  On this path I have learned about fortitude, compassion, wisdom, and generosity.  I have found these attributes have helped me to be a capable human being and have given me a full life with in my chosen Spiritual family and misunderstood and suspect in the regular dog eat dog world.
